Lokoja- Gov. Idris Wada of Kogi on Wednesday urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and positive about 2015.
Wada made the call in a New Year message issued in Lokoja.
He was optimistic that 2015 will usher in progress and development for the country and not violence as being feared in some quarters.
He called on Nigerians to pray for peace and orderly conduct of the elections in 2015, saying that the country will survive the elections and other challenges confronting it.

The statement, signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Mr Jacob Edi, congratulated the people for getting to the New Year.
He urged them to use the New Year for the promotion of genuine love and patriotism.
The governor particularly thanked the people of the state for their support and cooperation which he said were responsible for the successes so far recorded by his administration.
Also, Deputy Governor Yomi Awoniyi told the people to see 2015 as a year of blessing and progress.
In his message, he called for prayers for the nation to witness peaceful general elections in 2015.
Awoniyi appealed to politicians and their supporters to guard against provocative utterances and eschew violence before and after the general elections. (NAN)
