Kaduna- Gov. Muktar Yero of Kaduna State on Monday got the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) ticket for the 2015 general elections.
The Chairman, Kaduna State Primary Election Panel, Dr Steve Oru, announced the result of the party’s governorship primary election.
He said Yero emerged with 970 votes.
He said three others, including Hassan Hyet, a one-time commissioner in the state, stepped down for Yero.
He said the contest was between Yero and Sen. Haruna Aziz who polled 1 vote.
NAN reported that delegates voted in a peaceful and transparent manner at the venue of the exercise in Kaduna.(NAN)
