Governor Adeleke denies plan to join APC

Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has dismissed claims that he is planning to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), confirming that he is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Naija News reports that Adeleke restated his commitment to the PDP, following rumours on Friday that suggested he was preparing to leave the party and seek re-election under the APC.
However, in a statement to Naija News on Saturday, issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke expressed concern over the widespread speculation.
He assured his supporters and well-wishers that he remains fully committed to the PDP and continues to serve as the party’s leader in Osun State.
The governor also emphasized that his main focus is on fulfilling the administration’s five-point agenda and urged the people of Osun to disregard the false reports. He promised to continue delivering good governance and democratic benefits to the people.
“I assure the good people of Osun that I remain part and parcel of the PDP family. I am not defecting to any party,” the governor was quoted as saying.
It is worth noting that Governor Adeleke, along with his elder brother Deji Adeleke and music star David Adeleke (popularly known as Davido), had visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Lagos residence a few weeks ago.
