Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, visited the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara following the abduction of students from the campus.
Governor Ododo pledged to ensure the safe return of the abducted students and emphasized the activation of necessary measures, including non-kinetic approaches, to achieve this goal. He reassured the university community of the government’s commitment to enhancing campus security and vowed to reunite the abducted students with their families and friends.
Governor Ododo also addressed concerns regarding internal collaboration, promising thorough investigations and accountability for any perpetrators involved. He commended the security forces for their swift response and pledged ongoing reviews of rescue efforts.
The Governor urged calm among parents and students while assuring them of concerted efforts to secure the students’ safe return and prevent future attacks on the campus and across the state.
