Group endorses Gov. Lalong for Senate

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The apex body in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State known as Gamai Unity and Development Organisation (GUDO), has unanimously endorsed Governor Simon Lalong as the rightful candidate to be elected as Senator, representing Southern Senatorial Zone in the National Assembly.

The President of GUDO, Mr. Albert Kelong Alkali, on behalf of the National body made the endorsement Thursday, while addressing Journalists in Jos.

Backed by his Executive Council, the President said, “it is with great joy that the National Executive Committee (NEC) of GUDO convened a press conference at this special and auspicious moment to address the gigantic strides recorded by our son, Dr. Simon Lalong, the Executive Governor of Plateau State and Chairman, Northern Governors Forum and the Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

“He is also the APC Senatorial Candidate Plateau Southern Zone in the 2023 General Elections, one in whom we are well pleased and to chronicle some development achievements of his Administration recorded on the Plateau under Rescue Administration with a view to driving a trajectory of people-driven governance which we are here to State.

“We the GUDO NEC has passed a resounding vote of confidence and hereby endorsed Lalong to be elected as Senator representing Plateau Southern Senatorial Zone in the Saturday February 25, 2023 National Assembly Election”, Alkali enthused.

He, therefore, called on all peace-loving people of Shendam, Wase, Langtang-North and South, Mikang and Qua’an-Pan Local Government Areas to come out en-masse to vote for Lalong and implored people to be peaceful and law abiding during the Saturday election.

The GUDO President also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure unimpeded conduct of free, fair and credible elections where every vote counts saying, “GUDO invites all friends and lovers of Gamai Nation to join hands in building the Nation of our dream”.
