Abuja – Rescue Nigeria Mandate Mission says it will support relevant institutions and agencies in achieving successful implementation of the 2016 budget.
The mission, a component of Coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) Support Groups, made the promise on Tuesday in a statement issued in Abuja.
Amb. Sokari Afiesimama, the National Publicity Secretary, Coalition of APC Support Groups, said in the statement that although the budget had been delayed, its passage brought hope for Nigerians.
“Successful implementation of the budget will justify President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to redeeming the country’s esteemed position among other nations,’’ he said.
The mission also applauded Buhari’s Easter message, noting that it symbolised quality leadership that all Nigerians had yearned for.
“The president’s attitude to governance is worth emulating by all political leaders of thought, the business class and public sector to promote reliable, stronger and promising nation.
“We see Buhari’s Easter message as the most challenging to the church. He has demonstrated concern much stronger than brethren.
“He has challenged Christians to demonstrate greater belief in peace and harmony by building greater love for one another just as Jesus Christ did.
“These statements are enough reason to view Buhari as a tolerant and liberal leader of our time,’’ the statement said.

On the present administration’s war against corruption, the groups said: “We and the teeming grassroots sympathisers of APC believe that Buhari’s anti-corruption war is uncompromising.
“We can obviously state that Buhari does not need any campaign for greater support for this administration but to focus on the development of programmes for the betterment of Nigerians.’’
“We also enjoin Nigerians to support Buhari on his administration’s determination to achieve greater peace and security across the country.’’(NAN)
