Abuja (Sundiata Post) – No fewer than four officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been reportedly shot dead by gunmen suspected to be sea pirates.
It was learnt that the officers were ambushed on Bakana River in Degema Local Government Area of River State.

“Two of the victims who are Muslims have already been buried according to Islamic rites,” the eyewitness added.
Reacting, the Spokesman of NSCDC in Rivers, DSC Olufemi Ayodele, did not admit or deny the killing.
