Mecca (Saudi Arabia) -The Amirul Hajj, Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board, Imam Hussaini Ikara has warned that pilgrims would be penalised for breaking rules on movement restriction during ritual.
He, who gave the warning while addressing state officials in Mecca on Saturday, said that the penalty might be immediate deportation back to Nigeria without completing the hajj rites
He added that the victim would also receive another ten years restriction from performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Also, while speaking on the performance of hajj rituals, he said pilgrims will not be allowed to walk around unnecessary within the plains of Mina.
Ikara explained that unlike what was obtainable in the past, pilgrims will be guided on when to go to Jamrat for throwing of pebbles so as to avoid congestion and stampede.
Amirul Hajj said any pilgrim caught moving to Jamrat from Muzdalifah and also to Mecca either by foot or vehicle will be penalised.
NAN report that Nigerian pilgrims have been transported to Mina for the performance of hajj rites.
The pilgrims who were conveyed in batches were accommodated in tents that have about 60, 150 and 190 capacities respectively.
These tents are fully air conditioned, with provision of fridges, cold water in coolers with kitchen and toilet facilities.
In an interview with NAN, Imam Ikara said pilgrims will be accommodated in the tents according to their LGAs.
