Nigeria champions Kano Pillars surrendered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Hearts of Oak[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″] yesterday in a friendly in Accra as part of their preparations for the CAF Champions League. The first half of this interesting game belonged to Pillars, but Hearts of Oak came back strongly in the second half.
Pillars new goal machine Christian Obiozor put the visitors ahead in the eighth minute with a one-time shot from the edge of the box which hit the bar on its way into the net.
The Nigeria champions doubled their lead in the 27th minute, when striker Gambo Mohammed headed home a cross. Five minutes into the second half, Hearts scored a goal through Eric Kumi’s deflection off Aguidi Foovi’s effort which sent Theophilus Afelokhai the wrong side.
Hearts of Oaks got the much deserved equaliser in the 90th minute through Kassim Suleiman.
