Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Hon. Chinedu Martins who represents Ahiazu/Ezinihite Mbaise Federal constituency of Imo state, is taken steps to address the erosion menace in his constituency, especially in Egbemiri, Eziudo and Oboama communities.
Recall that Hon Chinedu on the floor of the green chamber, moved the motion for the rehabilitation of Damaged Infrastructure in Ezinihite Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State to address the menace of erosion in Imo State.
Speaking on the motion, Hon Chinedu said he decided to move the motion so that the Ecological Fund office can come to the aid of his people to savage the situation there.
In his words, “The motion is about the menace of Erosion in my constituency especially in Egbemiri, Eziudo and Oboama communities. I decided to move the motion so that the Ecological Fund office can come to the aid of his people to savage the situation there.
“This motion is to bring attention of the Federal Government and committee involved to look into the plight of my people. As a member of House Ecological Committee, I will meet with the Chairman to expedite action on this intervention, he stated.
“I believe that if the menace is not checked, my people will be left with no farm lands as erosion is affecting their farmlands which is their means of livelihood.
Also, Hon. Chinedu Martins has called on Nigerians to me good Ambassadors of the country whenever they travel out of the shores of the country.
He made the call in his Abuja office while fielding questions from newsmen on the motion he moved on erosion problem in his constituency.
According to him “Nigerians should be good ambassadors of the country when they travel overseas.
Hon Chinedu who also spoke about the United States visa ban said he believes that the visa ban will soon be lifted and enjoined citizens to always portray good image of the country when they travel outside the country.
On the issue of insecurity, Hon Chinedu expressed worry over the dimension it has taken and hopes that Government will take the issue as a very serious one.
Hon Chinedu who pledged to give his people quality representation, promised to put them first in all his endeavours as their representative in the green chamber.
