He made this known while addressing journalists at the national assembly shortly after his swearing in.
“The essence of it is that it is a journey we have just started and we are going to make sure we do the right thing to the people of our constituency. To make sure we open a way for our people, to make sure that we work with other members in the house irrespective of their parties.”
“This is my first time of attending sitting today (Tuesday) and every member is praising the speaker for his style of leadership, for carrying everybody along and as a learner, I am going to learn well.”

“The CJ there, upon all the threat and money she stood her ground to do what is just, she is a woman of integrity and other judges that sat on the case and today you can see.
“You could imagine the masses that stand here in the national assembly to support me, a poor man that has nothing but I have God.
“And have have to commend my wife if not her efforts, if not her strength, if not her giving me hope I wouldn’t have gone this far.
“I thank God for my supporters, the youths and the women that always stand by me upon all the threats; some of them received threat from their husbands, some their salaries were stop by the state government because they are working for me,” he stated.
