Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Aviation, Honourable Nnolim Nnaji has expressed his sadness over the news of the death of the late Elder Statesman and first Republic Minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazulike Amechi.
The former Aviation Minister who held the title of Dara Akunwafor in Amihe Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government of Anambra State died yesterday, Monday, November first 2022 at the of 93 years.
Honourable Nnaji in a condolence lettee he personally signed described the nonagenarian’s death as the end of an era noting that he died at a time his wise counsel was highly desirable.
The Aviation Committee Chairman also emphasized that the late Patriarch’s contributions to the development of air transportation in the country as an ex-Aviation Minister remained indelible.
He further stated that his death was a big loss not just to the Aviation community but to the entire people of the Southeast extraction and Nigeria in general.
Honourable Nnaji prayed for the repose of his soul and urged the immediate family to be consoled by the enviable legacies Chief Mbazulike Amechi left behind.
