Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The House of Representatives member-elect, Honourable Paul Nnamchi has stressed the need for governments at all levels to invest more in training of youths in computer technology to keep pace with the modern world.
Honourable Nnamchi gave the advice at the weekend in Enugu while speaking at the conclusion of training of one hundred and twenty youths he personally sponsored in Information Technology, (ICT) under his pet project christened, Professor Paul Nnamchi Techhub and Youth Innovation, (PPNTAYI)
He is the Memer-elect under the Labour Party to represent Enugu East/Isi Uzo Federal Constituency of Enugu State in the 10th House of Representatives due for inauguration in June, 2023.
Honourable Nnamchi further noted that, “exposing our youths to information technology will no doubt help in pulling them out of poverty and make them productive.
“With good knowledge of ICT one can stay at home and become a global player and make money by creating contents and marketing products online” he added.
He urged the graduands who were the first beneficiaries of the project to ensure that they put the skills they have acquired into proper use
Participants were drawn from Enugu East and Isi Uzo Local Government Areas the two area councils that make up the constituency.
