DUBAI, (Sundiata Post) – Building on an award-winning legacy, Hospitality by Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) snagged a total of 51 accolades including the title of ‘Best effort of single establishment in the UAE’ at this year’s Emirates Salon Culinaire, the internationally-acclaimed culinary competition hosted at Gulfood 2017.
A core team of 45 chefs from DWTC participated in the five-day event, showcasing their culinary skills across multiple categories including Five-course Plated Menu, Practical Butchery, Ice Carving, and Pastry Showpiece.
The chefs bagged 10 gold medals in team ice carving, single ice carving, practical lamb butchery, practical fish and seafood, as well as a gold in practical Emirati cuisine. In addition, the hospitality team also brought home 15 silver medals, 26 bronze, and the coveted title of ‘Best effort of single establishment in the UAE.’

We are truly proud of our chefs who gave such a stellar performance at Salon Culinaire.”

The Emirates Salon Culinaire is a celebrated culinary competition which tests the gastronomic presentation and timing skills of professional chefs from the region. The prestigious competition is judged by a panel of esteemed individuals who are certified from the World Association of Chefs Societies, the global network of chefs associations.
