ABUJA – The House of Representatives on Wednesday, adjourned plenary session to Thursday over the death of a member representing Katsina Federal Constituency, Sheikh Abubakar.

Abubakar, who died in the early hours of May 2, was a member of the 7th National Assembly.
He was re-elected to represent his constituency in the 8th Assembly due for inauguration on June 9.
The Acting Speaker of the House, Emeka Ihedioha, who announced the death of the member, urged members to pray for the repose the soul of the diseased.
“It is in line with the tradition of the House to adjourn sitting in reverence to the death of a member’’, he said.
