Onifade Oyekanmi, known as Ife, confessed to his involvement in the tragic death of a 45-year-old woman, Usman Aminat, in a quest for money. According to his testimony, he collaborated with four friends at his residence in Iyana Ajia, Ibadan, Oyo State, on March 13, 2024. His accomplices were identified as Oyebode Olalekan, Ifayemi Ojeleke, and Jamiu Lasisi.
The encounter with the victim began innocently enough, as Onifade met Aminat at a spiritual gathering. She offered to introduce him to another spiritual guide in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, but upon arrival, they discovered the guide was unavailable. Aminat later returned to Ibadan at Onifade’s request.
Tragically, upon her return, Onifade and his friends took advantage of her trust and hospitality. They lured her to his residence, where they violently ended her life. Onifade admitted to strangling her while one of his associates dismembered her body. They then proceeded to use parts of her organs in an attempt to concoct a powder mixture for supposed money rituals.
However, their plans were thwarted as they were apprehended before receiving instructions from a Muslim cleric regarding the ritual. This chilling revelation sheds light on the extent to which desperation and misguided beliefs can lead individuals down a dark and horrific path.
