MOSCOW (Sundiata Post) – Hungary has received the required guarantees on energy security from the European Commission, without which it refused to extend sanctions against Russia, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Monday.
“Hungary has received the required guarantees for our country’s energy security.
“The European Commission has committed to protecting gas and oil pipelines leading to EU member states,’’ Szijjarto wrote on social media.
The commission had also demanded that Kiev guarantee the preservation of oil transit from Russia to Europe, the minister said.(NAN)
