Ilorin, – Taiwo Ajadi on Monday filed a divorce against his wife, Mariam, at the Area Court, Ilorin, over alleged disobedience and wayward attitude.
The husband also applied for the custody of their three children aged Girl, 11, Boy, 8 and Girl 4.
Mr Maruf Ibrahim, Counsel to the respondent told the court that his client, Mariam agreed to the divorce, but not on the basis of the allegations leveled against her.
Ibrahim told the court that his client was not in any way disobedient to her husband or wayward in any way or manner.
He, however, said that the wife also wants custody of their three children.
The counsel described the children as minors and the husband should be responsible for their school fees and maintenance.
The Presiding Judge, AbdulQadir Ibrahim, said the applicant should produce evidence and witnesses on reasons why he should have custody of the children.
He adjourned the case until March 20, for hearing. (NAN)
