….Says Wages and Salaries Commission are working out review of salaries of Policemen

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday said he is deeply pained that innocent lives have been lost during the #EndSARS protest.
Buhari also said the 5-point demands of the #EndSARS protesters was accepted by the government and immediately scrapped the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
He stated this during a national broadcast while addressing Nigerian over the nationwide #EndSARS protests.
On the issue of increase in the salary and welfare of police officers and other security agencies, the President said the Salary and wages Commission has been ordered to work out the review and increase in salaries of the Policemen.
He reiterated that the federal government is committed to preserve the unity of the nation.
President Muhammadu Buhari who urged Nigeriand to go about their normal business without fear of molestation said the security agencies have been directed to provide security to all Nigerians.
He however warned that government will no longer allow the destruction of lives and property in the name of protest.
Buhari directed the youths to call off the protest as their voice have been heard loud and clear and take advantage of the numerous social welfare schemes of his administration which is aimed at improving their well being.
He warned neighbouring countries to listen and get the full information before making utterances.
The president commiserated with the families of the security officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
