Outgoing Benue State Governor, Dr. Gabriel Suswam has said that 150 communities benefitted from rural electrification project under his administration.
Suswam who stated this during an interactive session with newsmen at the Benue Government House in Makurdi yesterday listed other achievements of his administration to include education, infrastructural development, water, healthcare delivery among others.
The Governor who had earlier taken his successor on a tour of facilities at the Government House maintained that he is retiring a fulfilled man as according to him, his administration had laid a solid foundation for the state.

He also hinted that even though he had the option of getting his senatorial mandate through the courts, he had decided to embrace the path of peace as he had instructed his lawyers to withdraw his case against Senator Barnabas Gemade from the tribunal today (Friday).
The Governor who noted that he had put in his best and many years of his young life into active politics stated that there is a lot he can still do both outside and in politics.
He however called on those who are planning to decamp from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to quickly do so so that they can reorganize the party for a better outing in the next elections.
Suswam also used the opportunity to formally dissolve his cabinet comprising his commissioners, special advisers and special assistants as well as his personal aides.
