Dr. Dakuku Peterside, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State has promised to provide equal opportunities for Rivers people if elected in next year’s election. He said this in Eteo, Eleme at a reception in his honour, organised by politicians and opinion leaders in Eleme.
Peterside, who was accompanied by friends and party supporters, thanked the people of Eleme for the honour and restated his commitment towards ensuring that opportunities in every sphere are open to every Rivers man and woman.
“I promise equal opportunities for our people. We shall create job opportunities by massive industrialization programmes and institutional support to SMEs, so that we can engage idle hands. And those without means who are interested in education will also realise their dreams because we fully appreciate the value human capital adds to overall development of a people. Therefore, we will go the extra mile to ensure that our people are happy and fulfilled.”

He charged the political leaders of Eleme to ensure they surpass APS’s expectation of 90 per cent performance which is realisable because of the party’s popularity.
In his response, Hon. Marcus Nle-Ejei, a former member of Rivers State House of Assembly told Peterside that Eleme people are united for him.
He even urged the APC candidate to focus his campaign elsewhere as Eleme is already united in their resolve to support the emergence of Dr. Peterside as Governor of Rivers State in February 2015.
Nle-Ejei described the APC candidate as a leader who is prepared and ready to work in the interest of Rivers people. He therefore urged the people of the state to support him.
