Kano- The Senate Chief Whip, Sen. Bello Gwarzo, has said that he secured employment for 138 graduates from his Kano Senatorial District in different Federal Government establishments.
He made the statement on Sunday in Kano while presenting various items worth millions of Naira to the people of his constituency under his empowerment programme.
The items included 13 Golf cars, 13 truck load of fertilizer, 1, 300 water pumping machines, 271 motorcycles and 300 sewing machines.

Others were 130 plough and bulls, 1, 300 spaghetti making machines, 1, 300 grinding machines, generators, deep freezers, bags of rice and flour among other items.
Gwarzo said a total of 243 classrooms were constructed in various secondary schools in the state under his constituency projects.
He added that the classrooms had been completed and equipped with the necessary furniture and other facilities.
“The classrooms were constructed to decongest the existing ones in the affected schools.
“In addition, I constructed a special secondary school, christened Sen. Bello Hayatu Gwarzo Secondary School, Gwarzo,’’ he said.
The senator said the items were part of his efforts to support women and youth in his constituency to become self-reliant.

He urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the items to enhance their socio-economic status.
Gwarzo used the occasion to appeal to the people of the zone to ensure the success of the Peoples Democratic Party at all levels during the February elections.
In his remarks, Alhaji Bello Gogori, the Director-General Sen. Bello Hayatu Campaign Organisation, expressed appreciation to the people for endorsing Sen. Hayatu for the senatorial election.
He urged PDP faithful to work hard to ensure victory for the party at the polls.
The event was attended by prominent politicians in the state including the Minister of Education Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and his colleague in Foreign Affairs Ministry Alhaji Aminu Wali, among others. (NAN)
