As Managing Director, Seplat East she has overview on the operations of Seplat East (OML53) and provides oversight for Seplat’s interests in OML56. She oversees a complex structure hinged on delivering output in the crude oil and condensate deliverables.
She has overseen transformative projects that have not only enhanced production and sustainability, but also set new benchmarks for the industry. Under her leadership, Seplat Energy has grown into a powerhouse, contributing significantly to energy security in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
She joined the company in 2013. Her career trajectory has traversed both operational and functional roles, most recently as Asset Manager West, Chief Reservoir Engineer Seplat and GM, Subsurface. Prior to joining Seplat she worked for Anglo Dutch energy giants, Shell Nigeria in both onshore and deepwater reservoir engineering roles.

Her educational background was forged in the precincts of renowned first generation fortress of academic and intellectual exposition, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the ABU and MSc in Process Technology from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Her well-grounded DNA was honed in the academic walls by her parents who were senior civil servants in ABU and it’s visible for all and sundry to witness in public domain these unique traits.
Ibiada is a member of the leading energy industry umbrella, Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). She has published five SPE technical papers in subjects such as experimental design, field development planning and produced water disposal.
