West Brom Nigerian forward Brown Ideye has clung onto his place in the Baggies squad for next season after boss Tony Pulis kicked off West Brom’s summer squad shake-up by releasing midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu after six years at the Hawthorns.
But there are doubts for Ideye’s compatriot, Victor Anichebe who the club is keen to offload with just a year remaining on his current deal at the Hawthorns.

Other players who were released include Chris Baird and Jason Davidson while Andre Wisdom will return to Liverpool following the end of his season-long loan spell.
The future of Stephane Sessegnon however remains in doubt after he fell out of favour under Pulis. Boaz Myhill and Claudio Yacob will be offered new deals to extend their stay beyond the end of next season.
