Enugu – Igbo Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State says it has completed a 9.3km road network that links the various communities to the council’s headquarters.
The Chairman of the council, Mr Festus Ozoemena, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Tuesday.
Ozoemena said that the road, otherwise known as Bore-man road, traversed Ukehe to the local government headquarters and extended to Aku community.
The chairman expressed the hope that the road would boost agricultural and economic activities.
“My administration has actually done well in the area of link roads, grading and building of culverts thus, giving the vicinity of the council area a facelift.
“Another one is ensuring qualitative education in all the primary schools, thereby bringing sanity to all the primary schools in the area.
‘’We achieved this through massive construction of new building and rehabilitation of the dilapidated ones.”

He said that the council had also distributed instructional materials to all the primary schools, to enhance the quality of education of the pupils.
The chairman promised that the council would not relent in its effort in transforming the education sector.
According to Ozoemena, the council is committing resources to the education sector because it regards education as key to human development and success. (NAN)
