IJEBU-ODE (Sundiata Post) – The political aspiration of Hon. Keshiro Onilogbo Onilogbo got a boost on Tuesday as his quest to contest the Ijebu-Ode council chairmanship received the endorsement of Ward 9, Ward 3 and Ward 8 political leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At a meeting held in Lekuti, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, which had the full representation of the four  units (Odo-Egbo, GRA, Oliworo and Onirugba) founding and core progressive leaders and executives, praised Keshiro for his integrity, vision, courage, character, loyalty, and sincerity, saying he represents the collective dream of the Ward 9, Iwade Oke and Ijebu-Ode LGA people.

“Keshiro symbolises the very best. He will boost the image of our party, social economic, provide for the well-being of our people and deepen the mechanics of governance and service delivery in the LGA”, one of the leaders said, while also praising Keshiro for his exceptional qualities, impeccable honesty, competence and humble lifestyle.

The ward leaders and executives of the party described him as a unifying figure and grassroot politician who has served the party in different capacities without any compensation starting from when the APC was in opposition.

They urged him to be of good conduct while proceeding on his campaigns and tours even as they acknowledged he plays politics without bitterness.

Mr Ademola Afolabi Ogunleye, one of the leaders, said “Many qualities separate Keshiro Sulayman OluwaSesan Onilogbo (KSO) from other candidates: Vision, Knowledge, Courage, Character, Party Loyalty and Commitment. He will chart the right course and provide a clear focus for where the people and the LGA want to be and how to get there.

‘’We want a chairman that can credibly repose the people’s trust and faith and give the party a good human face as Progressive, unite the good people of Ijebu-Ode, provide security and good roads throughout the LGA. Keshiro will not step on the toes of the Ijebu-Ode LGA’s people. He will fast-track development in all the four zones of local government area as true son of the he soil who has his parental lineage cut across three zones of the central part of the Ijebu-Ode LGA, embark on large housing development for low-income earners, and create an enabling environment for investors within and outside to invest in Ijebu Ode, to create more job opportunities for the people’’.

Mrs Okunowo (Mama Betty) said “Keshiro is a popular and grassroot politician that fought to instal the government, we are all enjoying today and is well known across the length and breadth of Ijebu-Ode for his innovative ideas and integrity. He is down to earth, clear-sighted about issues facing the local government area”.
