Birnin Kebbi – The Chief Imam of Umar bin Khattab Juma’at Mosque in Birnin Kebbi, Ustaz Faruk Nasidi, has admonished Muslims to adhere strictly to the tenets of Islam.
The cleric gave the charge in his sermon at the Friday prayers in Birnin Kebbi.
He advised Muslims to exhibit high sense of maturity as well dedicate themselves in their religious obligations.
He reminded Muslims on the importance of good conduct and honesty, urging them to desist from unlawful acts in preference to always seek for Allah’s forgiveness.
He enjoined on the Muslim faithful to obey their leaders, pray for sustainable peace and stability in the state and the nation in general.
Besides, the Imam called on all religious leaders to propagate peaceful coexistence and work towards the development of the country.
“The Muslim Ummah should tolerate non-Muslims to promote inter religious harmony, peace and unity in Nigeria,” he urged.
He warned people to desist from making inflammatory speeches that can ignite crisis in the country, adding “Islam is a religion of peace; let us live in peace and harmony”. (NAN)
