that the commission planned to conduct fresh voters registration before the general elections.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Emmanuel Idakwo, the commission’s Electoral Officer in [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]the FCT.
He said that the commission had no plans to register fresh voters before the elections.
According to him, the commission can only look into minor problems associated with Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to ensure that all registered voters in the territory collected their cards.
On transfer of the voters’ cards by bearers, Idakwo also said that it ended on Jan. 14 in compliance with the 2010 Electoral Act as amended.
According to him, INEC is doing everything possible to ensure that all eligible voters collect their PVCs before the general elections. (NAN)
