Insecurity: Foundation donates relief materials to victims in Katsina

KATSINA – The Jaiz Charity Foundation, a charity organisation, on Thursday said it had donated food items and clothing materials victims of recent attacks in Faskari and Sabuwa Local Areas of Katsina State.

Some gunmen had in April attacked communities in the two Local Areas.

The Chairman,  Board of Trustees of the foundation, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, said the donation was aimed at assisting the families of the deceased and those displaced.

He said the materials donated include 300 bags of rice, maize and millet, 330 jerry cans of vegetable and 660 pieces of clothing materials.


Abubakar said the foundation had so far donated materials in six states, where were facing similar challenges.

The states, he said, are Adamawa, Borno, Taraba, Plateau, Zamfara and Katsina, adding that the foundation would soon move Kaduna, Yobe, Benue and Nassarawa.

Receiving the items on behalf of the state government, the Deputy Gov. Alhaji Abdullahi Faskari, commended the foundation for the gesture.

Faskari, represented by the Permanent Secretary. Deputu Governor’s office, Alhaji Usman Saulawa, said the items would reach the affected persons (NAN)
