Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Chief of Defense Staff, CDS, Gen. Christopher G. Musa, has expressed the determination of the Nigerian Armed Forces not to rest on their oars until total peace is restored in the country.

He made the observation on the sideline of the flag-off of the distribution of 150 vehicles and 500 motorcycles procured by the Kaduna State Government to address security challenges in the state.

The CDS explained that the vehicles, motorcycles and other peace efforts by the current administration in Kaduna State would go a long way in supporting those responsible with the practical responsibility of security of lives and property of Nigerians to do their jobs better.

CDS Musa stated that what they were witnessing showed the commitment of Governor Uba Sani towards ensuring the peaceful coexistence of Kaduna state.

He added, “This is more so because security is everything and without security, there cannot be peace, and if there is no peace there cannot be development.”

According to him, what he (the governor) had demonstrated was that he was not talking about peaceful Kaduna but he was also working practically to keep the state in peace.

He explained that the over 500 motorcycles and 150 vehicles in addition to other things he had been doing were a plus to the security of the State and Nigeria as a whole and appealed for the other state governments to continue to do the same.

“We must support the federal government and armed forces so that we can continue to do our job.

“We therefore promise to work extremely hard until there is total peace in Nigeria,” he assured.
