Insurgency: 6 Super Tucano aircraft depart US for Nigeria

The first batch of six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft have departed the United of America en route , the Nigerian Air Force has said.

NAF of Relations and Information, Edward Gabkwet, a statement Thursday, said the fighter jets departed the US Wednesday and are expected anytime soon.

The PUNCH had earlier reported that the Federal Government in February 2018 placed an order for 12 Super Tucano aircraft at a cost of $496million. Several delivery dates have been announced for the aircraft before Thursday’s announcement.
