ABUJA (Sundiata Post) If you play the Lagos social circuit, you ought be familiar with the name: Yoruba Demons, used for dashing young Yoruba men with these key characteristics: “habit of breaking the hearts of ladies, capacity to charm anyone, to slay and dress to kill, are masters of deception, always surrounded by beautiful women and never pick up their phones.”
Now, do any of these characteristics fit the Yoruba men in the two reports below:
Report One:
Former oil minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke cleaned out some $3 billion of NNPC funds through fraudulent oil deals, ie lifted oil without paying to the federal government, besides not paying royalties and taxes. She had two accomplices:
* Kolawole Akanni Aluko and
* Olajide Omokore
Report Two:
Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, is being investigated by the House of Representatives over arranging “fraudulent” payment of $17 million to two lawyers for their roles in the recovery of $321 million Abacha loot. But this payment was long after a Swiss lawyer Enrico Monfrini had been paid commission for same service far back in 2014, long before Malami was appointed AG. The finance minister raised alarm but only after $6 million had been pinched from the returned Abacha loot. The names of the lawyer accomplices are:
* Oladipo Okpeseyi (SAN) and
* Temitope Adebayo
If we do not find any characteristics of the Yoruba demon listed above for the four Yoruba men named in the two reports, perhaps we ought add another intriguing trait: sharp financial fraud accomplices.
Just for jokes. Ke ni nice day ooo
