Lagos- Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday transacted 165.08 million shares worth N2.09 billion in 3,211 deals.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this was against the 277.65 million shares valued at N3.22 billion transacted in 3,181 deals on Thursday.
FBN Holdings was the most-traded stock, accounting for 31.36 million shares worth N240.67 million, achieved in 472 deals.
It was followed by FCMB with a total of 21.21 million shares valued at N53.04 million traded in 100 deals, while Zenith Bank sold 19.24 million worth N378.94 million in 349 deals.
GTBank traded 16.61 million shares worth N378.94 million in 253 deals, while UBA Capital accounted for 10.73 million traded in 154 deals.
NAN also reports that the market capitalisation rose by N30 billion or 0.31 per cent to close at N9.788 trillion, compared to the N9.758 trillion posted on Thursday.

Also, the All-Share Index appreciated by 90.32 basis points or 0.31 per cent to close at 29,334.23, against the 29,243.91 achieved on Thursday, due to price gains.
Nestle topped the gainers’ table with N29.50, to close at N829.50 per share.
Forte Oil came second with a gain of N9.05 to close at N190.05, while 7UP gained N1 to close at N156.01 per share.
GT Bank rose by 90k to close at N22.90, while Nigerian Breweries garnered 50k to close at N131.50 per share.
On the other hand, PZ Cussons led the losers’ chart with a loss of N1.27, to close at N24.43 per share.
Zenith Bank lost 51k to close at N16.49, while UBN dipped 47k to close at N9.01 per share.
Ashaka Cement decreased by 46k to close at N18.33, while Diamond Bank lost 18k to close at N3.62 per share. (NAN)
