LAGOS – Investors on Friday staked N2.64 billion on 481.66 million shares in 4,368 deals in transactions on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
The volume of transaction represented 131.64 per cent increase over the 207.93 million shares worth N2.24 billion traded in 4,785 deals on Thursday.
Continsure emerged the most traded stock at the day’s trading, with 208.34 million of its shares valued at N208.34 million traded in 25 deals.
Transcorp came second on the activity chart with 62.38 million shares worth N349.44 million transacted in 281 deals, while Unity Bank accounted for 36.56 million shares valued N18.28 million in 11 deals.
However, all-share index depreciated by 370.33 points or 0.89 per cent to close at 41,380.05 points as against 41,750.38 points it achieved on Thursday. Skyeshelt recorded the highest price gain of N9.75 to close at N100 per share.
It was followed on the gainers’ table by Total Oil, which gained N1 to close at N180 per share.
CCNN’s shares appreciated by 68k to close at N14.33, while Ashaka Cement and Nigerian Breweries gained 60k each to close at N34 and N171.30 per share, respectively.
Conversely, Dangote Cement led the losers’ chart with a loss of N5.95 per share to close at N226 per share.
MRS Oil trailed with N5.50 loss to close at N54 while ConOil dropped N2.04 per share to close at N65.20 for each share.
Lafarge Wapco depreciated by N2 to close at N118.00 per share and PZ Cussons stock dipped by N1.30 to close at N36 per share. (NAN)
