IPI President: Use office to affect Iwo positively, oluwo to Premium Times EIC

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has congratulated media practitioner and Editor-in-Chief of Premium Times, Musikilu Mojeed, on his emergence as the President of the Nigeria chapter of the International Press Institute.

The Oba who prayed for wisdom greater than that of Solomon for Mojeed to successfully administer the institute, enjoined him to use his offices to affect Iwo town positively,

Sundiata Post recalls that Mojeed, who is from Iwo in Osun State, became the IPI’s new president at the institute’s General Assembly last week.

At the meeting in Abuja, he emerged unopposed.

In a statement by his Press Secretary, Alli Ibrahim, Oba Akanbi prayed that Iwo sons and daughters would keep moving to higher heights.

Oba Akanbi said: “I congratulate Mr. Musikilu Mojeed on his emergence as the President of International Press Institute (IPI). I have no doubt in his ability to effectively administer the union and further strengthen objective journalism not only in Nigeria but the world at large.

“He is a symbol of the parrots, upright and truthful. No one could have better be placed in such a position than a man of integrity.

Once again, I congratulate you and seek for a wisdom greater than that of Solomon to constructively administer the institute.

“Iwo sons and daughters shall continue to prosper, promoted and elevated at every advantage. My best wishes to my illustrious son, Musikilu Mojeed.”
