IPMAN restates commitment to petroleum products distribution

LAGOS – The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of (), on in Lagos restated its commitment enhancing the distribution of petroleum products across the country.

The National President of the association, Mr Chinedu Okoronkwo, gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of (NAN).

Okoronkwo said the association’ determination the petroleum products distribution process stemmed the new technology introduced by Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) in the 21 depots across the country.

According him, the new automated method of loading products has made the distribution of the products more convenient and cost effective for members.

at all levels commends the unprecedented stability and growth in the petroleum sector since the current in the petroleum ministry took over the mantle.

“Our members now load products all depots across the country with ease, courtesy of the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke and PPMC.

“There has been stability in petroleum products’ supply to the depots,” he said.

Okoronkwo assured would continue to partner PPMC in the 21 depots to ensure seamless product supply to every part of the country.

“IPMAN controls over 85 per cent of petroleum product retailing business and this makes our association a dominant player in the downstream market,” he stated.

He commended the petroleum minister for the stability in petroleum products’ supply process, adding the unveiling of the Nigerian Content Act was a vehicle for building indigenous capacities for the nation’ and industry.

According to him, the effort is an incentive to guarantee adequate supply of electricity in the country.

Okoronkwo condemned the activities of the pipeline vandals and crude thieves, stressing that the vices were the greatest challenge to optimal output the nation’s refineries. (NAN)
