The National President of the association, Mr Chinedu Okoronkwo, gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Okoronkwo said that the association’s determination to strengthen the petroleum products distribution process stemmed from the new technology introduced by Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) in the 21 oil depots across the country.
According to him, the new automated method of loading products has made the distribution of the products more convenient and cost effective for members.
“Our members now load products from all depots across the country with ease, courtesy of the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke and PPMC.
“There has been stability in petroleum products’ supply to the depots,” he said.
He commended the petroleum minister for the stability in petroleum products’ supply process, adding that the unveiling of the Nigerian Content Act was a major vehicle for building indigenous capacities for the nation’s oil and gas industry.
According to him, the effort is an incentive to guarantee adequate supply of electricity in the country.
