Isiaka Adeleke: Cause Of Death Not Known Yet – Family

The family of the late Senator, Isiaka Adeleke has described as fake and mere rumour, the stories making the round about the report of autopsy administered on the late lawmaker.

Addressing a press conference at Ede on Wednesday , the immediate younger brother of the deceased, Dr Deji Adeleke explained that contrary to report, there is no any result so far on the outcome of the post mortem investigation, saying it would take between a week or two before the comprehensive result could be ready.

He noted that until the result of the autopsy is ready, the cause of death of the former governor remained practically unknown.

Adeleke added that the rationale behind the delay in the burial of his late elder brother, against the usual practice of Islam, which he practised while alive was to determine the immediate cause of his death medically and convincingly.

” Everybody knowns that my brother was a Muslim, and the reason why we delayed his burial for 24 hours was to have an analytical and comprehensive report of the cause of his death”.

Adeleke however called on the supporters of the late Senator to be calm, and peaceful, noting that the former lawmaker was a peaceful man with large heart.

” The death of our beloved brother is like a dream to us, it is extremely painful, so sudden, he was our hero, he was not sick.

” We have cried and cried, we continue to ask how and why it happened that way, but we are thanking God for his life, we want to mourn in peace, and we need a lot of prayers.

“Our brother was a peaceful person, he was not a violent person, he did not tolerate violence neither did it promote it, we therefore enjoin his followers and political allies to be calm and peaceful,” he opined.

He however appreciated dignitaries who attended the funeral service of his brother, as well as the entire people of the state and Nigeria at large.
