Isoko youth group appoints interim leadership

Abuja – The Isoko National Youth Assembly (INYA) has appointed a 10-member interim executive to handle its activities pending the election of a substantive executive, its pioneer President, Mr Victor Egbo, has said.
Egbo said in a statement in Abuja on Saturday that the essence of the interim leadership was to provide a platform for a smooth transition.
He said that Mr Oreva Ferife was appointed INYA’s Interim President while Mr Lawrence Owhe was chosen as Secretary.
The pioneer president urged members of the association to support the interim leadership to ensure smooth and peaceful transition.
He said that a committee would soon be appointed to conduct elections within the next three months, adding,that “ the Isoko Development Union would be fully involved in the process.”
“The advisory committee will be consulted; hopefully, a democratically elected leadership will be in place in the next three months,” he said.
Egbo urged the youths to embrace peace and promote activities that would enthrone harmony and development among members.
