ABUJA (Sundiata Post) Senator Shehu Sank has stated in a Facebook post that Nigerian politicians are more interested in election timetable, campaigning than in human lives that are being lost to violence in the country.
He also commended President Buhari for cancelling his initially planned visit to Aba for a campaign, following the killings going on in Benue state.

”President Buhari’s decision to cancel his scheduled attendance at the APC Abia rally is commendable. It could have been immoral and height of insensitivity to attend such a political rally at a time when many Nigerians were burying their loved ones.
It’s a fact that Nigerian political class are more interested and preoccupied with the upcoming general elections than the safety of lives of the common people. They are more interested in the INEC timetable than the Kidnappings and gruesome killings in Kaduna, Benue, Rivers, Taraba or Adamawa. When the rich or the powerful die,it’s A GREAT LOSS to the country;When a mass of the poor are dead,it’s a loss to their families.”
