Isa told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Wednesday in Dutse, that the step was to reposition the club for greater performance.
He advised the remaining players to justify their retention, warning that “no hard work, no automatic shirt”.
The team manager also cautioned the players against indiscipline, noting that such would work against the team’s bid for the premiership ticket next season.
“I want to warn the players that we will not tolerate any form of laziness and lateness; we want to bounce back to premier league next season and won’t tolerate anything that will be a draw back .
“The players should sit up because we are going to work for it; there will be no going back until we succeed in our quest,” he said.
According to him, the club, in November 2015, screened 18 new players.
“Of the 18, only 10 will be picked after the pre season training tour,” he said.
Isa further further told NAN that the management would not hesitate to drop any of the old players and pick from the new ones if the need arose.
He added that the management of the team had taken proactive measures to secure promotion to the premiership next season.
The team manager commended the Jigawa Government’s readiness to finance the team and particularly commended the state Commissioner for Sports, Bala Ibrahim, for his special attention to club. (NAN)
