Ilorin- Taiye Jimoh has won the 2nd Shola Owolabi in-house Kwara State Table Tennis Championship.
Jimoh dethroned the defending champion, Akeem Lawal , by four straight sets in a keenly contested final played at the Indoor Sports Hall of the State Stadium Complex on Saturday in Ilorin.
Tobi Falana and Adekunle Adewale settled for joint third.
Bisi Asaju clinched the women category, beating Titilayo Falana three straight sets, while Rafat Tajudeen and Sukurat Aiyelabegan settled for the bronze.
Felix Oyadinrin won the Para-men, Taiye Oyinloye clinched the Para-women, with Seun Rapheal winning the Junior Boys and Iyanu Falana picking the Junior Girls category.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the State Director of Sports, Tunde Kazeem, pledged government’s commitment to the development of sports in the state.
Kazeem, who was represented by the Head of Coaching, Kehinde Jimoh, commended the sponsor, Shola Owolabi, for encouraging the development of the game.
Responding, Owolabi reiterated his resolve to contribute his quota to the progress of the game in the state. (NAN)
