LAGOS – The Joint Health Sector Unions (JOHESU) which is made up of five registered unions in health sector namely, Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Senior Staff Association of Universities, Health Professionals, Non Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions as well as the Assembly of Health Care Professionals have issued a 15-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to address the contentious issues in the health sector.
The body stated that several contentious issues led to its industrial action which was later suspended in 2015. The group, however, noted that its members would embark on a nationwide industrial strike if their demands were not addressed on or before February 17, 2016.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]
