Jos – A Plateau-based entrepreneur,Mr Clement Bukle, has advised Plateau residents to patronise locally produced herbal tea and spices, saying they were equally soothing, refreshing and affordable.
Bukle, an exhibitor at the ongoing Jos International Trade Fair, gave the advice in an interview with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the fair ground on Friday in Jos.
He said he had observed that people usually preferred foreign tea herbs, even with the improved quality of locally produced ones.
He said that his herbs were processed from local plants found in different parts of the state.
“These herbs have great medicinal value but people prefer the ones from China, and so, they tagged them as classy, which is sheer ignorance.
“These locally made products are also affordable and can be used as part of our lifestyles, but the foreign products are expensive,’’ he said.
He said people required enlightenment and education on making informed decisions on consumables they patronise in order not to cause health complications for themselves.
