Kaduna – A Sharia Court on Thursday ordered a housewife, Aisha Babangida and her co-wife, Zulaiha Sulaimen to explore all avenues of out-of-court settlement in the interest of peace and justice.
Babangida dragged Sulaiman, who allegedly beat her up and inflicted injuries on her before a court sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State
over alleged intimidation and causing grievous hurt.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the case was first mentioned in December 2019.
NAN also reports that the defendant, Sulaiman was granted bail of N20,000 bond or by a reliable surety.
The Judge, Muhammad Adam-Shehu, gave the order, after the plaintiff’s counsel, O. I. Ismail, told the court that the matter had been at the arbitration.
Adam-Shehu ordered both parties to continue with the settlement process.
He threatened to strike out the case by the next adjourned date of Feb. 19.
