Abuja -Timothy Nsirim, President of Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF), on Wednesday in Abuja advised judokas preparing for the 11th All-Africa Games (AAG) to maintain discipline and avoid doping.
Nsirim gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the Final Trials organised by the Federation ahead of the 2015 AAG.
He said the Federation would do all that was necessary for the team to succeed at the AAG scheduled for Brazzaville inn Congo from Sept. 4 to Sept. 19.
“Two judokas each from 14 categories will be taken for closed camping immediately.
“With this, we are urging athletes not to get involved in doping but maintain discipline and apply the techniques of the game.
“We are also assuring them that we will do everything to ensure that their needs are well taken care of,’’ Nsirim said.
NAN reports that the trials which began on July 22 is expected to end on July 23.(NAN)
