On Monday, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos surpassed Elon Musk to reclaim the title of the world’s richest person, with a net worth of $200 billion, surpassing Musk’s $198 billion.
Despite no longer leading Amazon, Bezos benefits from the company’s rising stock price and maintains his position as the top stakeholder, even after selling off $8.5 billion in stock.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk’s wealth declined by over $30 billion due to a 25 percent drop in Tesla’s share price, and a judge approved the cancellation of his $55.8 billion Tesla pay agreement signed in 2018. Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH, remains third on the list with a net worth of $197 billion.
