Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Justice Onuoha Ogwe was on Wednesday confirmed as the Chief Judge of Abia by the state’s House of Assembly.
The Abia State House of Assembly members unanimously confirmed Ogwe’s appointment following a voice vote conducted by the speaker, Mr Chikwendu Kalu.
Sundiata Post recalled that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu had in a letter dated October 22, asked the lawmakers to confirm Ogwe’s appointment.
Governor Okezie had inaugurated Justice Ogwe as the Acting Chief Judge of Abia state in compliance with the recommendation by the National Judicial Council (CJN).
His appointment followed the compulsory retirement of the former Chief Judge, Justice Theresa Uzokwe on March 14. (NAN).
