Udoma said the training which was aimed at improving the skills of patrol team leaders, would also educate them against other high way violations.
According to him, the training is aimed at tackling speeding along the Kaduna/Abuja and Kaduna/Kano Federal Highway.
“ We understand that the major problem we have here in Kaduna is speed violation which has been responsible for the death of many people.
“We want to train the marshals and then embark on public enlightenment in Churches, Mosques and motor parks so that they can have a new language with which to communicate with motorists’’.
The sector commander said that the marshals were being trained on good communication skills and how to be innovative in confronting drivers while discharging their duties on the road.
He said the participants would also be educated on their responsibilities and the expectations of the public in tackling road accidents.
Udoma expressed optimism that the training would help to reduce road accidents to the barest minimum and save lives, as well.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the four-day training is tagged: Re-strategising Operation, Patrol Challenges and the Way Forward.
