Kaduna – The Kaduna State Government has announced the implementation of Treasury Single Account (TSA), as part of efforts to facilitate accountability and transparency in all its monetary transactions.
A statement signed by the state’s Finance Commissioner, Suleiman Kwari in kaduna on Thursday, said the state had also established a Cash Management Unit in the ministry to manage the TSA.
According to the statement, the move is to ensure the efficiently management of the state’s dwindling resources, hitherto being managed in different accounts by Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDA).
“10 Accountants had already been trained to keep them abreast with technicalities required to effectively manage all cash flows in the state’s MDAs using the TSA, “the statement added.

The News Agency if Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Gov. Nasiru El-Rufai had in August, ordered the closure of all the state’s bank accounts in commercial banks.
He said the state government wouldl from September, run a Treasury Single Account (TSA) to be domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). (NAN)
