Kaduna Royal Father Remanded For Alleged Kidnap, Assault, Criminal Conspiracy

Abuja (Sundiata Post) — The Chief Magistrate Court 3 in Kaduna, on Thursday morning, remanded the Chief of Bugon of Kurama Chiefdom of Kaduna State, Damina Kurmi, in prison custody for alleged kidnap, assault and criminal conspiracy.

The embattled Kurmi was dragged to court, along with three of his palace officials, by the police.

They are accused of kidnapping one Usman Ori in Yalwa village, Yar Kasuwa area of Lere Local Government Area of Kaduna State in September 2016.

They had allegedly “arrested” Ori for an unknown offence, and since then, his whereabouts have remained unknown.

Chief Magistrate Abudul-Aziz Ibrahim remanded the suspects when the case came up for mentions.

The case was adjourned to March 27, 2017 for further mention.
